Aussie Writer & Cycle Tourist

A blog chronicling the writing and cycling of a seaside baby boomer. My work has been published in a number of ways- see my profile for details. Latest developments in my cycling and writing will appear in this blog on a regular basis and I would welcome comments and any prospective markets for my writing. Genres currently include cycle touring travelogues and related topics, non-fiction in general, and children's fiction.

Still

Well I am still between long weekends, still writing up a Brass Band Contest program- and still feeling lousy! So much so if I wake up tomorrow feeling as I do now I am staying home regardless!

However there are plenty of positives. My article for Horizons- the Wide Bay lifestyle magazine has been accepted for July edition. The Maryborough Magazine 2006 has hit the streets with its brand new cycling page promoting cycling through Maryborough Parks and the town generally. And Australian Senior has accepted another proposal for an interview with three generations of a family competing together in a triathlon club. All positive.

My adventure article reached it US destination in electronic form- the data CD with the pics hasn't arived there yet. I received a polite email acknowledging its arrival- not quite sure whether "keeping it in mind for future editorial requirements" is optmistic- or a polite brushoff! Time will tell!
